Founding Chairman A.K. Mago to receive Padma Shri Award

GDIACC Founding Chairman A.K. Mago is to receive Padma Shri award by the President of India. Seven persons under the category of foreigners, NRI and PIO were selected for the Padma awards. Mr. Mago, Chairman and CEO of Dallas-based business and investment consulting company, Mago & Associates, has helped raise millions of dollars for Dallas Asian organizations.

Senator John Cornyn talks Future of US-India Relations

Sen. Cornyn had the opportunity to speak at an event hosted by the American Enterprise Institute on the future of U.S. and India relations.   His full remarks can be seen here.

 “America’s strategic partnership with India was one of the Bush Administration’s greatest diplomatic achievements, and we should do everything possible to make that partnership stronger,” said Sen. Cornyn.

 “Whether it’s managing the rise of China, defeating Islamic extremism, stabilizing Afghanistan, or protecting the free movement of people and cargo on the high seas, the United States and India are natural allies in confronting especially some of the biggest global challenges facing the world in the early 21st century.”
